I really enjoy Barbara Kingsolver, Ellen Gilchrist, Jane Smiley-although not the last book she wrote, Anne Rice, Pat Conroy, Larry McMurtry, McCarthy, and I do love To Kill a Mockingbird; I've read it six or seven times now.audreypawdreyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01778150139132824073noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-82981007971127798.post-6196018660275614022010-03-11T16:05:41.042-07:002010-03-11T16:05:41.042-07:00"His Majesty's Dragon", "Kitche..."His Majesty's Dragon", "Kitchen Confidential", "Fellowship of the Ring", "The Scorers Stone"... oh my so many good books out there. I want to read that book too - the uncensored version just came out. And i just read you last post and now i feel terrible for not having taken my kiddos rollerskating either - maybe during the summer when we'll have lots of free time...ha!larissahttp://stitchesinplay.typepad.com/stitches_in_play/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-82981007971127798.post-25799680660056840142010-03-10T16:56:59.297-07:002010-03-10T16:56:59.297-07:00Um...I like what I see but...why isn't TWILIGH...Um...I like what I see but...why isn't TWILIGHT on your bedside table?

HUMMMMM?

xoxox
Marly

P.S. I also liked the Elm Creek Quilt series by Jennifer Chiaverini.
I am currently reading her one of her newest ones called the Lost Quilter.
One of my favorite recent reads is " The Help by Kathryn Stockett. It is a powerful thought provoking book. As I am a child of the 60's I found the social commentary particularly interesting.
I have other favorite authors- Catherine Coulter, Iris Johansen, and many more.
I also have the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie society on my night table.

One you may wish to check out is The Friday Night Knitting Club by Kate Jacobs. I loved it and the sequel Knit Two.I have the third one on the wait List from the Library.

Happy Reading,
Regards,
Annaquiltmom annahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01976120921532056369noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-82981007971127798.post-18297522917395037572010-03-09T21:26:49.408-07:002010-03-09T21:26:49.408-07:00You're hysterical! I always have a hard time picking favorite books (partly 'cause I love so many and partly 'cause I can't remember half of them LOL) but two that stand out that I loved are Beloved by Toni Morrison (I do have friends who didn't like it) and Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. Have fun reading!Thimbleannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03650582809426872051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-82981007971127798.post-13110765490446749012010-03-09T16:14:27.999-07:002010-03-09T16:14:27.999-07:00Hi Karen,

Whenever I have spare time during the day I love sewing, knitting, gardening etc.. Have you traveled to Italy, my daughter just got back from a snowboarding trip to Italy on Sunday!Shawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17435155131089809792noreply@blogger.com
