M is for marigolds, which remind me of my mom. As a child, I thought they were so orange, and not fancy. But then I became a gardener, and realized that, like my mom, some things have a hidden value, which I never appreciated growing up.
Another cool picture Karen! I still haven't seen the marigold light -- I guess 'cause I'm not a big yellow person. Which makes me wonder if I've lost my marbles with our new kitchen paint color. Maybe I need to put marigolds in there so I'll like it better!
I've never thought much of marigolds either--until I bought a bunch this summer at the tailgate market. And they went bananas in my yard! Yellows and golds and tall, lovely oranges!

Wow - that is so sweet! I'm thankful for a great friendship with you now! And I like marigolds--so hearty, so vibrant and determined. Love you!

They're already on my list for next year.
